‘Pistols, Pickles & Guacamole’

Julie Lee & her White Rose Band recently released its new CD entitled “Pistols, Pickles & Guacamole.”

It’s been three years since they’ve made a new CD and this is one that is long-awaited. They call it their “PPG” album for short.

The name reflects three songs that are featured on this CD.

A popular song that the people love to have them play is “Pistol Packin’ Mama.” An original instrumental song entitled “Mexican Pickles” is the second song featured. It’s always fun to include an original once in a while. The third song featured is their most-requested song on their Arizona tour entitled “Guacamole,” which is sung by their guitar player, Don Gudac. He brought this song to them three years ago, and the people get a kick out of it and request it all the time.

This CD features a variety of music styles, but leans a little more to the country side, which is where they are being led in their Arizona tours. There are still plenty of waltzes, polkas, foxtrots, a rhumba, and country two-steps featured on this new CD.

The complete list of the 18 songs on this CD is as follows:

“Pistol Packin’ Mama,” “If Teardrops Were Pennies,” “My Chalet Waltz,” “Guacamole,” “Sad Movies,” “Mexican Pickles,” “Boppin’ the Blues,” “Last Cheater’s Waltz,” “Sam’s Place,” “Dreaming Waltz,” “It’s a Cowboy Lovin’ Night,” “Tony’s Polka,” “Let’s Chase Each Other Around the Room,” “Doreen Waltz” “Rocky Top,” “I Love You Because,” “Oklahoma Hills,” and “Act Naturally/Forever & Ever.”
