SWPP is set for Feb. 5-8, 2018
Plans are now complete for Southwest Polka Party at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, set to take place Monday, Feb. 5 through Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018.
Scheduled bands include Polka Power from California, Richie Yurkovich & Polkarioty from Wisconsin, The Fugitives from Manitoba, John Stehle & the Alpine Polka Dots from Colorado, Fr. Arnold Kari from South Dakota, and Julie Lee & her White Rose Band from North Dakota.
• Kicking off the festivities the evening of Monday, Feb. 5 will be two special dances from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
A Monday night ticket grants admission to both dances.
There will be lots of drawings for door prizes, too. Seating is limited for Monday night, and guests are encouraged to get their tickets early.
One dance will be a “Canadian Party,” with music by the Fugitives.
The other dance will be themed a “Red, White & Blue Party,” with music by Polka Power. Dancers are encouraged to wear either red-and-white, or red-white-and-blue attire for this night, but it is optional.
• Tuesday, Feb. 6 and Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m., a jam session will take place. Bring your instruments and show off your talents. This is always a popular event each year.
• There will be a special military tribute in the evening Tuesday, Feb. 6, which honors all veterans and military personnel from both the United States and Canada. It’s become a tradition to honor these folks each year at this festival.

White Rose Enterprises, LLC, which is owned by Julie Lee & Hugo Ternes, welcomes all of its past attendees and encourage those of you who’ve never attended to come and see what fun you’ve been missing.
It’s a great place to be in February, to meet up with other friends who enjoy dancing and Las Vegas.
