Wendinger Band & Travel
Peter and Paul Wendinger marked the beginning of a new venture in the bicentennial year of 1976, when they were approached about their band being hired to play at a Polka Festival in Honolulu, Hawaii. In March of that year, Peter & Paul and the Wendinger Band, their wives, and a host of excited travelers boarded the plane for their flight to the warm, tropical “sheltered bay” of Honolulu.
Since then, the two brothers, partners and friends have opened the doors to a worldwide travel industry! Wendinger Travel, consisting of Peter and Paul, together with their wives, Dodie and Joleen, is a family owned operation.
Located in the lower level of Peter and Dodie Wendinger’s home at rural New Ulm, in the quaint little town of St. George, MN is where you will find travel plans in the making.

Wendinger Band members are: Mike Simon, Steve Moran, Jon Wendinger, Peter Wendinger, and Larry Roepke.
Peter and Paul Wendinger, sons of Herbert and Eleanora Wendinger, grew up on the family farm near St. George, MN. Their parents’ connection with numerous old tyme bands and their love of concertina music was instilled into the hearts of their two “boys.”
A wide variety of musical talent compliments Peter and Paul and the Wendinger Band. Their unique style, with two concertinas, accompanied by brass and rhythm sections; complete with vocals is sure to captivate audiences of all ages providing musical entertainment at its best.
Present day musicians are Peter Wendinger – concertina; Paul Wendinger – concertina; Mike Simon – trumpet, trombone, vocal; Steve Moran – trumpet, trombone, keyboard, vocal; Larry Roepke – trumpet, baritone, tuba, vocal; and Jon Wendinger or Gary Gleisner – drums, vocal.
